Freaking out a little bit

Ok, so this is weird. I'm mega constipated right now and I just spent a good 5 or 10 minutes straining on the toilet to no avail. Afterwards I wiped and I was spotting (as usual, I have a cervical erosion) but I also felt something strange. It felt like a fleshy lump near/inside my cervix. I totally freaked out, started feeling sick and ran to check my baby's heartbeat. I got so paranoid I'd caused something awful to happen by straining so much

Anyway, baby is fine and I've felt a few wriggles from him/her so I'm not freaking out as much now but I still have no idea what I was feeling. I'm scared to check again! Do I wait until my next midwife appointment and bring it up with her or do I consider it an emergency? I'm not 20 weeks yet so I bet delivery suite wouldn't take me in, and since I feel fine and I'm not leaking or contracting I don't know whether I'd be taken seriously in A&E.

I don't know to me honest. Could you phone your local maternity assessment for advice? They might still want you to go in and see them x

Well I rang delivery suite for advice and the midwife said it sounded like a polyp. After some googling I agree, that definitely sounds like what I was feeling. They're harmless enough, I just can't believe how quickly it appeared!

The spotting stopped and nothing out of the ordinary has happened today so I've been told to have it checked out at my next appointment.

I feel silly for overreacting now!!
