I'd been starting to wonder what all the fuss was about with Freecycle, everyone kept going on about the amazing stuff they were getting off there for free, but I NEVER got any replies at all even though I've responded to numerous adverts.

Anyway I FINALLY got a reply today and I'm getting a Tommee Tippee nappy bin with cartridge, I'm so excited about my first Freecycle item - YAY :happydance::happydance:

congrats hun! We got a TV last year when we moved as didnt have one at all. It was an old style big back one. We since got a new one and in the spirit of things, put the old one back on freecycle and gave it away again lol. We only used it for like 4 months anyway. But I've been keeping an eye out on freecycle myself, but nothing yet :-( well done on the nappy bin tho x

Yay!! :dance:

Off freecycle I've had;

- a buggy (we will use this next summer probably)
- a changing mat
- a tommee tippee manual breast pump (unused)
- a tommee tippee electric steriliser

:dance:

Fab! Well done! :flower:

I'm a big supporter of Freecycle when it's used in the right way - i've received some awesome cassette tapes ages ago and a fridge for my parents when theirs broke and due to circumstances were unable to buy a new one. I have recently used it myself to give away my tumble dryer to a family who need it which was wonderful and gave a LOAD of vhs tapes away for a bootsale charity last year. My best find though was an underskirt for my wedding dress, i was so chuffed as we were on a limited budget, my debenhams debut midnight blue wedding dress came from a charity shop for £13 and i just couldn't justify hiring or buying an underskirt for it for about £65+ but a fab lady on Freecycle saw my wanted post and gave me hers! :happydance:

Hope you manage to get some more bits or find great people to donate to in the future! x

well done you, i have had a dressing table in solid pine and a tumble drier, its worth looking on there, they have a facebook page now aswell.

I LOVE freecycle.
I have gotten loads of fab baby stuff off it, Buagboo Frog, FP glider chair, Maclaren bouncer, bag of neutral baby clothes, FP Jumperoo, gro bags, moses basket and stand and sheets and blankets. Over the yrs ive gotten clothes for my boys and an underskirt for my wedding dress plus a Maclaren XLR buggy for my DS2 a few yrs ago.
I have given away loads on it also anything the boys outgrow i spilt between freecycle and charity shop, and pass on the boys toys on it also when they are finished.

i have had 3 pushchairs off freecycle and my maternity clothes went on freecycle after EJ was born so im looking out for more I gave away a load of baby kit on there last year lol got our bedframe off there and will be looking for table,chairs,and another sofa soon as the ones we have on loan have to go back

I got my rotary washing line from freecycle - I was so pleased as mine had broken the week before! I've also had some babies toys and clothes...ooh and a baby carrier. I promise I'm not just a taker - I've given away 2 mountain bikes, baby clothes and the aforementioned baby carrier ;-)
