French children don't throw food

French fries. There was something years ago involving the french selling weapons to terrorists so the USA substituted anything with French for freedom.

French describes the way they are cut. Has nothing to do with the French :haha:
 
I know; but I read that that cut of fries did originate in Belgium, I have an old American recipe book from the 70s and they are said to originate in Brussells. xx

Yes, you're right, there's even a chip/frie museum in Bruge...My BIL and nephew went only a couple of months ago.

So jealous, they even give you samples :munch:

Thats probably the only good thing about Bruge, no offence on any Belgians but um yeah; for the most part the country lacks a certain charm and has crazy drivers to boot :haha: xx

This was not the reason at all and I have never heard of France selling weapons to terrorists. The reason was because France was against the the US decision of invading Iraq.
 
That's OK:thumbup:. There were so many things going on in that time that it's easy to lose track.
