from 1st tri: anyone now having success after 3 miscarriages in a row?

Hi,

I am currently going through my third miscarriage in a row in 8 months. I never get past 7 weeks! I feel like I am never going to have a child  and i'm very depressed and looking for success stories. I have just turned 32 and am healthy. I have had lots of tests so far and nothing has come up. Was anyone in the same position as me and is now having a successful pregnancy?

I had two last year .. the first one was an ectopic pregnancy in July and I lost my tube at 9 wks. I then had a m/c a month later on my DDs 1st Birthday at 6 wks.

It was sole destroying and made me wanna give up, but I finally fell pregnant again in Jan this year. (I'm 30)

Good luck lady, hang in there, it will happen ..

I had 4 mc's in a row over a 3 year period. All were before 8 weeks and all tests showed no obvious reasons for it all.

Just keep being positive hun xxx

hi hun, i had 2 MMC's last year and then this pregnancy started as a twin pregnancy, but 1 twin didnt make it, we had all the tests done after the first 2 and nothing showed up except that i have PCOS :( havent really done anything differently this time round, wasnt given aspirin or progestorone, was just really left to chance with regular early scans and everything is going well. fingers crossed for you sweetie dont give up :hugs: xx

Thanks so much ladies, your messages make me feel SO much better! x x

Hiya chic,
Yes Iam 34 and had 3 miscarriages in a row last year, all around 6 weeks. We had tests too and all came back normal, the doctors just felt it was one of those things and I would carry a pregnancy we just had to keep on trying! And sure enough here I am now at 37+3 weeks. So yes chic there is hope, so keep your chin up and when you are ready keep on trying, you will get there, bug hugs xxxxx

Thanks so much and good luck to you as I see you're nearly there! Did you get pregnant quickly too?

Yes I did, I didnt have a problem getting pregnant at all, it was keeping it that was the problem, but just keep trying it will happen xxx

Did anyone ever have a d&c and the tissue from this examined for chromosomes? I'm not sure whether to do this.

so sorry hun :(
ive had 2 mcs in a row last year and its heartbreaking but here i am now almost 32 weeks preg with my baby girl so there is hope hun, i know it doesnt seem like it at the time cos i thought id never get my baby but you will get there xxxxxxxxxxx

Hi hun... I have had 6 consecutive miscarriages over the space of a few years, then I had a stillborn and then an ectopic! My baby carrying history leaves a lot to be desired!

But here we are 31 weeks and everything is looking good- although I am getting a lot of care.

I have a heart condition that no one thought was an issue until I found my current consultant. She instantly put me in aspirin and blood thining injections. Also 5mg of colic acid. I started the aspirin and folic acid before I even got pregnant and then the blood thinners as soon as I got my bfp.

ALL of my tests came back with no reasons for my losses, if yours are the same then just request the aspirin and folic acid. Start them before getting pregnant. Prepare your body the best you can etc. Some of these things can never be explained, but hopefully you will get there.

I would also research hospitals in your area that specialise in misscariges and see if you can get a refral to them.

Best of luck Hun and I'm so sorry for your loss! Take care xx

Oh my goodness Jasa, I am so sorry you have had to go through all of that, you must have been truly devastated and I sincerely hope that this LO works out for you, I'm sure it will! Thanks so much for replying and giving me hope. How did you cope emotionally with all those losses and did you ever have a d&c and the chromosomes tested? x

As others have said - don't loose hope - your history doesn't mean you can have a take home baby soon. I had 3 MMCs and I know how much it breaks your heart, now I'm looking forward to meeting my 2nd live child immenently. Iwon't lie to you it's been a struggle, but we're there now and you will be too. I also took aspirin (but had for previous pg), I ate all organic for months and stopped using any toxic substances in my home (even changed all my toiletries!!), only use my laptop on a table, took the first 4 months of off my stressful job and was medicated with prednisoline and progesterone for the first tri - I think you can say I covered all my bases! But something worked! Good luck to you and hope your time comes soon

i had my DD in 2008 and i had 8 miscarages between DD and this one im now 2 days overdue so its all good it can happen xx

Thanks so much for this chilli and I am so glad it worked out for you in the end! :flower: I am going to St Mary's next Monday to see a specialist there so i am looking forward to what she has to say. Did you ever get the chromosomes tested, I am not sure whether to do this. Thanks again for your positive comments it's soooooooooo hard emotionally especially when I don't have any children yet and don't know for sure that I can do it!! x

I am 39 and me and my hubby started TTC in May of 2007 after a tubal reversal. We had 5 losses and the furtherest I got was 8.5 weeks. We never had a heartbeat or a baby in any of them. We had given up last July when our first grandchild was born. Then in December we got pregnant and sadly lost that one on Christmas Eve (that was loss number 5) and I had told my husband that I wanted to just stop all together. He asked that we wait until I was 40 and then we would stop. Our second grandchild was born March 3rd. We found out we were pregnant March 29th! We didn't get excited as we had our hearts broken so many times before. At 6 wks 3 days we went to the doctor to get a scan and for the first time in 4 years, we saw a heartbeat!!!!!!!!! It was the most amazing thing ever! I have 3 grown children and 2 grandbabies, and you would have thought this was my first time ever experiencing anything like this.
I am now 29 wks 3 days and proof that miracles do happen!
I would definately recommend asprin. 1 a day. I took it for 3 years and I kept taking it until I was 12 weeks. Also start takng prenantal vitamins now. I have been taking them for 4 years.
Good luck and I hope you are able to get some answers soon! :hugs:

That's a great story and with such a happy ending!! Thanks so much for sharing it with me,so pleased for you! I can't wait for the day that I finally see a successful scan. I have seen a heartbeat on my second miscarriage but the doctor said the yolk sac was too big and I would miscarry. I am definitely doing the aspirin idea next time. x :flower:

Good luck with testing at St Ms - yes I did have that test and every other one I could - leave no stone unturned!

Thanks chili, I am thinking of trying the prednisoline too but I think that's with Dr Shehata. I am seeing Lesley Regan (had it booked for months) AND Dr Shehata next week to weigh up what they have to say. Me and my husband have decided that since it doesn't take too long to conceive we will try all of the treatments and hope we have some luck. I think Lesley Regan has a reputation for being thorough but we may have to wait with her - might be worth it in the end. Who put you on to prednisoline? x
