My 2 week old was awake fussing from 2pm to 2am yesterday. I tried desperately to calm her from 2pm-6pm (DH gets home at 6pm) while simultaneously having to chase my 3 and 2 year olds around. At 6pm DH took over watching the older kiddos, and I was intent on getting LO a good uninterrupted feed, a cozy bath, and rocking her to sleep. But even after all those things, it went on...and on...and on...until 2 am.

The cycle is that she feeds for 2-3 minutes, falls asleep and becomes totally unwakeable at the breast (and we have tried ALL the tricks). So I then swaddle her up, put her in the bassinet, and within 10 minutes she is awake rooting again. So I pick her up, put her back on the breast, she drinks a tiny amount and falls asleep, I swaddle her up, lay her down, 10 minutes later she's up again... and again... and again.

Just about going bonkers  Anyone else dealing with this?

Maybe just cluster feeding...they tend to do that at the least convenient times. Mine liked 8pm until 2 am.

She's probably not done her feed and isn't getting enough in her which causes her to just wake up after 10 mins which is a telltale sign. As hard as it is, you need to wake her and try your absolute hardest to make her have a full feed. Once she drinks the full amount she needs, she will give u 2 hours of sleep minimum between feeds. Mine always passes out during a feed but I make sure she finishes orelse it becomes constant snacking and no real feeding. I know it's exhausting! Hang in there

It's a long time since I've done this now but I vaguely remember stroking my little boys face. That would prompt him to keep feeding even while asleep. When he was finally full then he'd unlatch. Sometimes took up to 40 minutes, or sometimes even longer on occasion though. Have you considering a sling for daytime napping and feeding. I'm really hoping to use one a lot this time so I can still do other stuff with ds. Might help you perhaps as she can feed while you're on the go and it might help her sleep better.
