Hi Ladies,

I hope you don't mind me posting here. I posted a this question in TTC this morning and no-one seemed sure of the answer.

We've been TTC for 4 - 5 yrs and I've been for bloods for ovulation and have now booked in for bloods for egg reserve. The only problem being it's proving really difficult to get an appointment on day 3 or for day 3 not to be at the weekend! I didn't want to tell the receptionist at Docs why the day is so specific so I'm booked in for Wed which is day 5 of my cycle. Would any of you lovely ladies know if this should be ok because I don't want to take up a valuable appointment slot if I should keep waiting to be able to go on the correct day.

Thank you. x

I've had to do CD3 blood tests and was told that if CD3 wasn't possible that I should do it on CD2. Hope this helps.

I had the same problem when I had my bloods done, it fell on the bank holiday weekend. I couldnt get in at my doctors, my oh is friends with a doctor so we gave hime a call for some advice. He told us to go down to the hospital and ask at A&E. They did if for me but said its not something they would normaly do but were happy to help me out.
When we went back to the doctors I explained what a nightmare it was trying to get booked in for a blood test (the receptionist even told me they didnt do it at the hospital anymore- which turned out to be wrong) she said it doesnt matter if its a couple of days later than needed.
Hope that helps - sorry for the ramble!!

Thank you so much, that is exactly what I needed to know. I thought it maybe would be ok a few days either side I just didn't want to waste an appointment that could be used for somebody else. x

To be honest I wouldn't take the receptionist opinion I would ask ur Doc as it could affect your result. Mine told me cd 2 or 3. Good luck with it x
