I can not belive today I am full term!! When we lost Billy my waters went at 20.6 weeks and he came at 27.1 weeks.

So I am amazed I am 37 weeks gestation - I really thought if I got to 27 weeks that would be best I could hope for - now it feels like I am soooo overdue although I am not.

NOW the worry is we nearly lost ds1 at 38 weeks - I was in hospital being induced to to PE and they found he was in distress, on the trace they loose his heartbeat twice -thats when things went mad. His heart rate was right down to 40 the last number I saw on the monitor before they rushed me off for the csection (last words I heard midwife say as she had one of those trumpet things on my belly was we need to hurry this up please) I came out the anestetic not knowing if my baby survived.... he did ... just.

So now I am petrified it will happen again but not be found and I will loose this baby. My consultant will not talk about induction till 39 weeks as he say this baby isn't small like my first and as I have had regular scans there shouldn't be any problems (have no more scans booked now though) thats final. I keep hoping that I will go into natural labour soon - before that awful 38 week date.

Hubby thinks I am being completely paranoid... but with my history I can't help but worry.

Sorry just need to vent...

Don't worry- I have a feeling things will be k :flower:

I completely understand how past occurences can traumatize you. I myself am early pregnant again after 2 miscarriages. Take a deep breath, and take one day at a time. The completion of each day is a victory! It will be over before you know it and you will have a happy, healthy baby!!

:hugs: totally natural - even mummies who have not had any previous issues can be freaked out by other peoples losses and complications so if it's actually been a reality for you then it's only natural to transfer these memories to your pregnancy.

But you know what to look out for and if you're ever worried then they'll understand you popping in to l&d to be checked out - especially with your history.

labour :dust: to you - not long now hey!!

I think what your feeling is totally natural. You don't have long to go now and you will have bubs here with you. It sounds like everything has gone well so far... he/she will be out soon.

I think what you are feeling is just natural but you are going to be fine. How exciting to think your baba is going to be here soon :)
