My dustbin baby has just turned one and isn't nearly as into his food as he was. He's had a run of illness and although he's fine at the moment, I wonder if that has anything to do with it.
All he wants to do is drop food on the floor. If I give him more than a couple of pieces at a time, he swipes it off his tray. He loves feeding himself with a spoon and is getting good at dipping himself now so weetabix, porridge, yoghurts and mashed banana is a hit but he just seems much fussier than he used to be! He loves his fruit but seems to be eating so much less than he used to. I wonder if he's beginning to exert more of a will than before? Today he refused his roast dinner until I put gravy on it (to be fair, who wants to eat boiled veg bleurgh) put it in a bowl and gave him a spoon. He ate most of it but not loads.
Anyone else experience a fussy period around this age?
