Game of Thrones - the book?

Does anyone watch Game of Thrones? I don't watch it but my DH is obsessed and has been talking about getting the book. I wanted to get it for him for Fathers Day but doing a google search brings up a billion different versions. Which is the one that the TV program is based one? Can anyone help? I don't want to purchase the wrong one....

The show is based on A Song of Ice and Fire series and there are currently 5 books. 2 more to come. This is the series order

A Storm of Swords
A Feast for Crows
A Dance with Dragons

You can get a box set of the books on amazon. That's where mine are from x

Be warned, while the 1st season matches up to the first book almost spot on, the show deviates quite a bit after that so there might be a lot of "why didn't this happen?"

They will be the exact same book but the one with Sean Bean on it will have been published more recently so that is probably why it is more expensive.

by the kindle version as the books are huge! But if George R Martin doesnt hurry up and write the last two...i mean at this rate he will be dead!

First link (with sean bean on the cover) is a paperback book, the other is a digital copy. Some book sellers don't charge as much for a digital copy.
