Game of Thrones!

Something I've read that I love is that a lot of the cast haven't read the books further than how far they are filming because they don't want to know their characters future. I kind of love that, it shows how dedicated they are to it really I think.

Or they're lazy asses who read the first book for a general idea and then were like, "Okay, I got it," and now have no idea what's going on until they shoot. :haha:

:haha: far more likely!!

I read an Alfie Allen article where he said he stopped reading when his character disappeared. (I guess he's not in several books but comes back?)

LOL I read that too. It was such a narcissistic thing to say! But I still <3 him.

You do see Theon return but I won't say anymore than that!

As for Tywin, I love him too, he's respectable even tho he's a bit of a b*****d. And he's the type of character that gives respect where it's due, even to an enemy (I seem to remember a moment where tywin passes a remark about Robb Stark which hinted that he respected him...or at least his battle plan)

I love how he knows his grandson is a little whiney brat and puts him in his place. Even the boy king knows not to cross his grandfather!

I have to disagree. A good actor will research their part as much as possible especially when it comes to adaptations like this as they need to convince those who were already fans. And that means reading all of them. So once they get the script they read that part in the book.

Me and DH normally stay up and watch but we're thinking of skipping tonight. I didn't get to bed last night til 1 AM and unfortunately, LO doesn't know about the bliss of sleeping in yet. :haha:

Well... I know what Noelle wants for Christmas!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I prefer it attached.

I loved that episode. Honestly, the dialogue was amazing. Sometimes I like the relatively action-free stuff.

I was really hoping we'd see them off Joffrey, but guess we have him until next season. Yay! I actually sympathized with Cersei when she was talking about Joffrey as a baby... It's like everyone, even a monster, is someone's child. I think we can all relate to having that type of unconditional love for someone.

I'm really touched by Tyrion's relationship with Sansa. Honestly, I wanted Shae to leave. This isn't going anywhere good. Love Varys!

The Stannis storyline got slightly interesting. I love Davos and I'm glad he's sticking around. He's a good man. I loved that he let Gendry escape. Their scene in the dungeon was really sweet.

Ariya and the Hound are really quite cute together, in a murdery way.

My poor baby Theon!!!!!!!! Way too hot to be Reek. Balon Greyjoy is the world's worst daddy. He sucks literal balls. I love Yara, was so happy to see her back. I still think she and Dany should get together and rule the world - she has the ships she needs!

And of course, Dany was amazing as per the usual.

Oh also... Jon Snow, what a bad boyfriend! Why didn't he offer to bring his girl with him?

I loved that episode!!! Since we have to wait so long for a new season, I love how it gave us some closure but left us still wanting more. One big ending or reveal would have left me looking up spoilers til next season!!!

Sam was basically the star of this episode ;). I just love when the side stories collide, it's almost surreal. I really felt like I got some closure with Jon snow and Ygritte, because when he left her I just kept thinking- does he not love her? Maybe he was just faking it to have someone on his side, they would have killed him without her standing up for him constantly. But now I feel like he does love her, he just is trying to be realistic that he doesn't want the wilding life and with his vows, he couldn't bring her home. It would be awesome if she found out that she's pregnant though, and they got tied back together.

Hearing Cersei talk about Joffery was so sad. :( especially when she was saying he was a happy baby, I have a very happy baby so I was like- eurgh.....I love how Tyrian is constantly standing up to Joffrey but Joffrey is totally losing his cool with it....I'm ready for his death.

Tyrian and Sansa are so cute together, I just want her to accept him. I agreed with Cersei that a baby would make her life better, she's so alone. I'm sick of Shae, if she loved Tyrian she would leave. Varys was 100% right about Tyrian's abilities and Shae holding him back, and she's the last thing he needs right now.

I'm loving Davos right now and Gedry. I'm so sick of Stannis's puppet-behavior. Melisandre's in control.

Arya is going to turn into a badass ninja next season :haha:.

Theon's scenes make me physically sick, I almost can't get through them or even watch. Just so demeaning and frightening and sickening. Balon is a freaking asshole. Theon's sister is doing what his dad needs to be doing. Balon acted like his only choices were listen to Ramsay's demands or ignore, but the man of the family, Theon's sister, is doing what needs to be done. :haha:

Dany's scene had a touching ending, very fitting. I want her to return as queen even though some of my favorites- Tyrian/Sansa- will possibly be hurt.

Also, I guess we might be subjected to some brother/sister sex scenes now that Jaimie and Cersei are back together....it's weird cause they haven't seen each other since early in season 1. Unless Jamie plans on leaving her for Brienne. :haha:

I have to wait 4 more hours to watch :( I've still read all the comments though so kinda know what's in store lol.

Erm , i was a little disappointed. Especially after the red wedding i really thought this last episode would be another head fuck. But there were some good moments that made me think: the talk of Joffrey as a baby, the chat between Tyowin and Tyrion, how Melisandra seems to have turned her attention to north of The Wall. God bless Sam, he is such a sweetie. It was pretty obvious that she would name the baby Sam!

Im intrigued by Bran's storyline right now. He's not one of my favourites at all but he certainly seems like he'll have a big role to play in the fight against the white walkers (who, BTW, scare the shit out of me!!!)

Looking forward to next season. Am considering reading the books but don't want to read ahead of The TV show!

For those who've read the books - is there a series per book? Or are we more than 3 books in?

I can't help but cringe at Theons scenes either. Even in the books it sounded awful! He might have been a D bag but didn't deserve that. The gift Ramsey sent to the Greyjoys did make me laugh tho :p

I love Tyrion with Sansa, he is good to her and its nice to see her being more interactive with him than in the books. (Tho I must say even if it is a little wrong I'm a Sandor/Sansa shipper)

I did think there would be more Jaime and Cersei scenes tho. I mean after not seeing each other for what must have seemed like a lifetime it's gotta be pretty emotional. But maybe the producers wanted to save that bit once they had a bit more time.
