Am i the first idiot to do this

I cant believe it i have been maticulous on every scoop levelling etc, i use the prep machine and decided to increase him to 5 oz as he was finishing the 4 oz bottles, the next day he was only doing 3 - 31/2 so i put it back to 4 oz setting on the machine, Last night at 11 i made a 5 oz and was so sure i had moved the water to 5oz, so hes now had 2 feeds at 11 and 2am of 5 scoops and 4 oz

i have called cow and gate and waiting on a call back since 6am, just called them again to chase,

its comfort milk hes on, ive given him some cooled boiled water.

anyone heard of any one doing this, how long will it be in his system for? should i be getting him to the doctors?

theyve called now, said its only a problem over a long period and that as comfort milk is gentler anyway and to give extra water in the day

is there something i can buy so i can measure out his powder before bed so i dont do this again ?

would it have to be steralized all the time ?

I use the tommee tippee milk powder containers. When I sterilise the bottles I also measure out the milk powder so all I need to do is tip the powder into the bottle. It makes the perfect prep even faster!!!

I got mine as part of the bottle set I got but you can get a pack of them from the likes of asda and wilkinsons.

We use the tommee tippee too, theyre awesome.

Another tommee tippee pot user here too. We have 6 of them so fill each one with 5 scoops and no going wrong then :)

We use the perfect prep and just pre-fill the sterilised bottles (the 2 she has overnight) with the powder and her gaviscon and then just stick them under the prep when baby wakes. No measuring or pots to mess with in the middle of the night!

see i wondered about this, even dug out the instructions, i know you do the water before formula to ensure the water level is exact, and it crossed my mind to do it your way on the prep, since the machine measures it any way, mmmmm interesting

That's why we tried it, we figured as the water was already pre-measured, we wouldn't be giving her too little by pre-filling the bottles. I have the machine next to my bed and literally can have her feeding in less than two minutes by doing it this way!

i tried and failed comfort milk is harder to mix and i ended up with goo at the bottom of the bottle , nice idea though x

This is why we bought the tommee tippee measure things as LO is on special milk so it needs that initial mix before the second top up on the PP.

thanks ive been using a dispenser now for two days and oh my life is so much easier,
