I really need to know for tonight as now bottle feeding charlie, when you make up bottles for the night do you put the gaviscon in before you put in fridge or do i put the gaviscon in when i take it out the fridge to be warmed up ? xx

I would put it in when you take it out of the fridge. Don't know why I would, lol, but I would! Even though I would make Amy' bottles in the day for the night I would still put the Infacol in when she needed it, as apposed to when it was made up . . .x

yeah i thought i would prob have to , just hoped someone might say it doesnt matter im awake enough at night so want to make it quick haha

You're supposed to put Gaviscon into warm milk or it doesn't mix in xxx We found that out when there were yellowy orange lumps floating in the milk. Couldn't figure out what it was.. until one day I added it after warming milk and there weren't any funny looking lumps!

thanks do you think it will be warm enough to dissolve after ive took it out the fidge and warmed it though ?

i put it in after ive heated the bottle. as far as i know it says on the box to only put it in immediately before your feeding him :)

Yep, warm it through in a jug/however you do it and it will be fine. I just put it in, shook it up and then warmed it at first and instead of mixing in it would float on the top... yuck

I'd assume that, as with all medicines, they may become unstable a short time after mixing it up. Thats why it is sold to you in the powder form. So I would suggest putting it in at the last minute, just in case.
I have to do this with Oliver - he is breastfed 100%, but I now have to sterilise bottles for him too! Also, I have to be making up gaviscon bottles in the night, only to go upstairs and breastfeed him!!!:dohh:
This is only my opinion though hun, not medical fact!

Hey hun i bottle feed jacob and he is on javiscon but i still give it to him seperate from his milk (just the same way breast feed babies are given it) My HV said there is no problems with this, i just found it easier as trying to work out how to give it in the milk was to har d:)dohh: not the brighest bulb in the box me) so i have 6 small avent bottles that i mix the 15mls in and feed it to him through that after each feed :) XxX
