I was diagnosed with SPD about 3 weeks ago and with GD today.

Does anybody got both aswell? How are your experience?

I'm totally terrified of the birth now...I was doing so good not getting into the groove of getting scared of it but now with the prospect of having a long, difficult and even more painful labour with possible assistance or c-section I'm utterly terrified and would prefer to skip that bit. Or go for a section straight away without having these shock/surprise moment when the midwife suddenly says "right this is not working lets go have a c-section" I would be a wrack then if I'm honest.

I have both and I am having a homebirth! I had gd before and I am not bothered by it and I won't let the docs push me around as long as I am diet controlled. I try not to think about the spd and birth tbh - I am not sure how much more painful it will be but I believe in pma - it will hurt more if I anticipate it too. Tbh - I think when you are talking the level of pain of a natural birth - the spd may make no difference.

How is your gd?

I just got diagnosed with it last week...so far all the levels are fine bt baby already seems quite big on the scan.
I hardly get my legs apart at the moment and I'm jus wondering how its gonna be when I'm further along.

I am the same spd wise - it isn't so bad right now but we have so far to go! I don't know what is going to happen. I am just not thinking about it.

You still have plenty of time to sort out your diet and for baby to adjust to it. It might not be big in the end now that you are aware of your gd. It is good you are controlling it.

I been diagnosed with GD. I have to go on a diet. I, too am scared of giving birth while having GD.

Don't be scared - it really isn't so bad! If you struggle on the diet then medication isn't so bad. Most docs will prescribe a pill and that is the end of that problem.

*hugs hun* you will be fine.

I have GD, SPD and now I also have high bp and am on bp meds. I am also having to have a c-section because baby is footing breech.

I spent a lot of time worrying about all of the above (especially how I am going to cope with the pain recovering from spd and a c-section) but I have come to realise that I will get through it and that the only thing that matters is baby getting here safely.
