GD help needed please!!

Hello peeps,
I have just had my GD results back and they were: 4.5 to 6.2.
Can anyone advise?? :'(

Am not due to see mw until Monday xxxx

4.5 to 6.2..by that do you mean the fasting test (the 1st blood test) was 4.5 and the second after you had the drink was 6.2?
If thats the case then you dont have it, my first result was 4.8 and my second was 8.4, i have GD but only just, the second result for me hd to be under 7.9 to be clear so if thats the case with yours (the fast overnight, have a blood test drink a cup of ickky stuff and have another test) then i would say not to worry..plus i had the test on the Thursday Morning and had 2 head MW's on my doorstep the next morning to tell me i had GD so i highly doubt they would leave you until Mon if it were positive.
You can always ring your DRs und ask what they results mean as they will have recieved the results too and had them checked by a Dr.x

Looking online..

GLUCOSE LEVEL INDICATION
From 3.6 to 6.0 mmol/L Normal fasting glucose
From 6.1 to 6.9 mmol/L Impaired fasting glucose
7.0 mmol/L and above Probable diabetes

Thats before you have the drink..so you have normal fasting glucose.

GLUCOSE LEVEL INDICATION
Less than 7.8 mmol/L Normal glucose tolerance
From 7.8 to 11.1 mmol/L Impaired glucose tolerance
Over 11.1 mmol/L Probable diabetes

Thats 2hrs after the drink so again you have normal glucose tolerance..
Obv im not a DR/MW so dont take me as gospel, but im going by my experiences of being diagnosed with it and those charts confirm my 'only just have it' result..yet i still had MWs with loads of appointments for clinics and scans and consultants within 24hrs of having the test..so cant see any MW leaving you until Mon to tell you that you have GD..x

Phew - thank you for that. It was my fasting (4.5) then non (6.2) but it was the dr who said it was high, but that was all he said!! Just that the MW deals with it all now, so speak to her!! Arghhhhhh!!xx
