Gender Reveal Ideas

Hi ladies.

Anyone planning on finding out the sex of baby at 20 week scan and revealing it a special way? I was thinking about doing the cake idea (a sponge dyed pink or blue in food colouring covered in neutral icing) because it's the first grandbaby in the family. Or getting pink or blue balloons deflated in an envelope to let them open it.

Any other ideas?

Those are both wonderful ideas! I really like the idea of food coloured cake with neutral icing.

As much as I wish I had the patience to do that, I know I will be texting everyone in my contact list as sooon as a walk out the doors after the ultrasound. I just can't control my excitement all the time! It's been soo hard for me to keep this pregnancy under wraps until the second trimester.

Ours will be the first grandbaby on both sides too, so we're very anxious to tell everyone!

Oooh, I hadn't actually thought about it but I really like this idea!!

It's the first grandchild on both sides in my family too so it'd be lovely to make a big gesture of revealing it.

I haven't got any ideas at the moment, but I'll be really interested to see what others suggest!
