mine was 10.5 after the GTT

Saw the Endocrinoligist who is happy with my control over my blood sugar levels so at this stage its diet controlled & i see him again in 4 weeks- also i wont need to be induced or have insulin.

Well done on the diet controlled I'm on metformin for mine xx

What's your blood sugar like now if you don't mind me asking?

I'm hoping to avoid induction if at all possible, but as long as bump is healthy I'll be happy.

My 16 week gtt was 7.8 after 2 hour

Mine was too. I think 7.8 is generally the cut off point.....

I was 7.8 also, and yep... it's the cut off point.

I'm really upset about this as I had intended a birth centre birth, which is apparently off the cards now, and to avoid being induced, which is now a lot more likely.

I can't help blaming myself as I'm a recovering anorexic

Me too - I do not want to go to hospital at all. My last birth waS horrendous and I never want to go back there. I am so upset;( I have been testing every morning and my levels after breakfast for the last three days have been 8.0, 8.1, and 8.2. I think it is happening now and I better drag my sorry butt back in for a gtt, and cancel the birth centre.

hi my gtt came back as 7.8 aswell so had to see the diabetic nurse and a dietician am now having to do blood sugars 3 times a day 2 hours after meals but they have been fine so far i have to go for a scan in 2 weeks they say they wont let me go over my due date and they think changing my diet will do the trick fingers crossed but still alot to take in.
