I was wondering, what are your tricks for getting a sleepy wee one to breastfeed? He's 36 weeks pretty much and was born at 29 weeks. He has virtually come off all oxygen today (slightest amount overnight tonight to transition him to room air), and so all he needs to do now is do all his feeds from me (he's latching well and feeding very well when he feeds, and I have an oversupply not under!).

Any ideas or tips on waking him to make sure he gets all the feeds from me?

When Findlay was in neonatal they used to tickle his feet and/or take a layer of clothes off to get him to wake up a bit to try and attempt a bottle of EBM. I'd imagine similar techniques would work for breastfeeding.

Hi hun, we had similar issues with Sam - we used to cup feed ebm to him as he had latch issues, found that gently tickling his ear helped wake him up a bit xx
