Getting my first tattoo today **PIC ADDED*

I'm so scared! lol I'm getting my first tattoo today. I'm getting Ellie's name and date of birth with a little red love heart instead of a dot above the i. I'm hoping t get it done on my wrist or just a bit further up my arm if they wont do it on my wrist (i have a couple of prominent veins on my wrist so i don't think they will do it there)

Any tips? my friend said i should take some sweets to suck while i'm having it done to keep my blood suger levels high.

i think the pain is bareable.
i usually try to pick a spot in the room to focus on, instead of what the artist is doing, but it depends on your pain threshold i suppose.

It really wasn't as bad as i thought it was going to be! I had my eyes shut all the way through it though! lol I was told to wash it evey 3hrs or so keep cling film (saran wrap) on it for 24hrs then take it off and put Bepanthen cream on it 3 times a day. Oh i have to sleep in the cling film for 2 nights aswell.

I've already booked my Baby Angel tattoo for the 15th of March, i've changed my mind on the design though and gone for something simpler.

Im getting my first tattoo on Saturday, Ive picked the top of my arm to have it, hoping the extra flesh will make it hurt less Did you want to move your arm at all and be worried the design would go wrong? I dont want to suddenly sneeze and mess it up!

Thank you everyone! Can i ask if you already have a tattoo what were you told about your after care? i've been told by loads of people i shouldn't use the cling film for 24hrs like i was told as its bad for the tattoo..... but i don't know

I didn't want to move my arm actually it was over pretty quick although i was really scared and nervous and i started swinging my legs which was a no no because it made my arm shake a bit lol you can tell where i moved slightly if you look closely at the first number 4 (the one in the middle) its kinda wonky

Ive had a few tattoo's now and was always told to keep the cling film on for about an hour or two.

Just make sure you remember to use your bepanthan, it makes a huge difference, and always wash it off before you put more on, and you should be fine. And most of all DONT SCRATCH IT, it will itch in a few days when it starts scabbing over

I was always just told to leave the cling on for a few hours and than make sure it's always moist with ointment. Never let it dry out. And keep it out of the sun. Even when it heals you should always put sunscreen on it when going out in the sun because it helps prevent fading.
