Hi everyone.

I just need some advise and want to ask a few questions.

I want my Lo to start drinking formula for a bottle now, its due to medical reasons of myself that i HAVE to change over from brestfeeding.

He used to drink bottle occaisionally up to about 3 months old. ever since hes rejected it !

I need help now. Has anyone had babies that would totally not accpet the bottle yet successfully got them to be bottle fed ??

Really need the help guys x

Hannah's been bottle fed from birth but has started to reject the bottle (started at 7 months actually ) Have you tried giving the milk in a sippy cup instead? Hannah will take on bottle in the morning now and the rest she gets from a sippy cup with a straw in it--does really well with it actually :D

Yeah I would try a sippy too, especially being so close to a year, will just make one less thing to wean him off of and he might like it better. You might try mixing breastmilk and formula together...like at first more breastmilk than formula and then slowly add more formula and less breastmilk...if you have enough time to wean him off that way befor eyou have to stop? Also having someone else give it to him will help, with you probably in another room, your is comfort and he knows you have his food so if he smells it or sees you he will probably be less likely to take the formula

i think its mostly the bottle rather than the taste of the milk!

By the sippy cup which ones do u mean ? the ones that flow out easily ?

i have tried a straw as well but he just bites it like 'whats this' lol ?

I'd say keep trying them until you find one that he likes! We've used the ones with hard spots, ones with soft spouts, the free flow and the straw ones!

Im finding this with my little girl who is 5 and a half months old.Ive just been out and brought 2 Dr Browns bottles coz she is very windy on the breast.Been trying only since yesturday and she took a bit when my OH fed her then she rejected it.So thought we would try her again this morning and theres noway she will even take a bit of milk. The reason for me wanting to stop breast feeding is because i think im producing to much fore milk rather then the hind milk which is probably why she is very windy. This morning my OH said to try her tommie tippi sipy cup coz she knows that and she got excited when i gave it to her and took some milk from that. Then she was justwanting to be put on the boob which i think coz she wanted to fall asleep on me coz thats what she does.So its got nothing to do with the milk i dont think i think its due to the bottle coz its different.Even if she just takes milk from the sippy cup and not the bottle then that would be fine but she just wants me as she is used to being snuggled up in to me to fall asleep.I dont know what to do keep trying with the bottle or just keep encouraging her to take milk from the sippy cup as she knows her cup? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks:thumbup:

Just to let u all know..its done, its seriosuyl like a miracle lol thanks to family :D!!
