Getting positive OPK when urine not diluted

But they are all negative when the urine is diluted. I know for positive I am not ovulating, I already did and no other signs of it this cycle. I know OPK's test for both LH and hCG, but LH doesn't get diluted as far as I understand as well. I have been getting positive OPK's for nearly 3 days now, and my surge only lasts at MAX 24 hours. However, I took an HPT this morning and it was a BFN...I'm so confused! Has this happened to anyone else?

Oh, I am kind of in the same boat! I thought I Ov's last Thursday or Friday. Now I am getting almost positive OPKs again. That along with some EWCM, which I also had last week leading up to the dark OPK. I don't know what to think of it, but we decided we should BD in case I didn't actually Ov last week and I'm about to now.

Why would the OPK's be positive but the HPT be negative?

cos the hpt takes longer to appear but lh(which is what opks test for) can be detected in the v eraly stages of oregnancy in some women. if you havnt already google peeonastick and look in the opk section! x

Thats a very good site for info on this Ive read it a couple of times. You could still have leftover LH, it's different for everyone.

Hmmm, i read pee on a stick. Basically OPKs and HPTs test for the same hormone, except HPT's test for the beta string of the hCG, and OPKs test for the alpha string, which is identical to LH...so either I'm ovulating or I'm preggers. Hmmm!
