Girls name opinion

Can I ask everyones opinion on a name, its driving me mad and I know DH will start bugging me about it when he is home tomorrow!

What do you think of the name Harlow(e) for a girl? I know Nicole Ritchie's daughter is Harlow, but I had forgotten that until I saw it on the net somewhere again it was just a name that popped up when I was shopping for someone at work and thought oo I like that but now DH keeps going on how he really likes it I'm not sure as originally I had my heart set on Molly, which he now sees as being chavvy after he found out Kerry Katona's daughter is Molly :S

You know Harlow is not my style but it's a name that could grow on me very fast, somehow it has something very sweet to it...
I'd say don't worry about celebs and their name choices, many people don't even know them let alone their personal lives..and even if they do, so be it, it harms nobody to use the same name..there are celeb babies with simple and traditional names, but that doesn't stop anyone from using those either..If we have a girl her name will be Seraphina, and I totally don't care if people come to me saying "Ah like the Affleck baby" - yeah, so? Got a problem with that? It's a legit name that existed much before the Afflecks chose to use it, and my life doesn't involve around what celebs are doing or not doing, kwim? ..So be brave and use what you like!!!! Btw Molly Harlow would sound absolutely adorable...

I love Molly & Harlow! Molly is so sweet & cute -- and Harlow is so pretty & unique! If you want something a bit differnt, i say go for Harlow!

And they def sound pretty together!

i love harlow and i fell in love with it when i first saw it but everytime i mentioned it to my sister she would always turn her nose up at it and say 'you do know harlow is a very scratty, chavvy place in essex? i will always be comparing her if shes called harlow' which has completely put me off! xx

Haha so true, I live 10 mins away from Harlow in Essex and this puts me off the name too, although I do love the name, I would never use it for any child of mine because I am too close to the dreaded chav town and the kid really would get picked on!

Harlow and Molly are both lovely, I don't think Molly is chavvy either, it is a really traditional and sweet name,

OH is from Harwich, so drive past signs for Harlow when we are on the A12 but I do think it's a nice name as we dont live in Essex think it should be ok.

absoloutely lovely! again im only not having it as i dont want stupid comments from my sister for the rest of the childs life if i have anoher girl. shes the type of person who would make mean comments in a joking way for a very long time.
but Harlow Molly Ann is a gorgeous name and i love it. very good choice. xx

If anyone points out about Nicole Richie, just remind them that it is not her child's name exclusively; Patricia Arquette also has a daughter called Harlow.
