Giving baby my maiden name?

Hi all - love all the name ideas!

I don't know what I am having but I am thinking of giving my baby my maiden name 'Parker' as a middle name. I have heard it is a name used in America. Do you think its a good idea? I dont want double barrelled but just wanted it in tere somewhere as there are not going to be anymore 'Parker's' unless my male cousin has kids!

It could be:-

Leo Parker or Logan Parker

I'm going to use my maiden name as a middle name because I kept it when I got married. I think it's a nice idea

I think it's nice, but not sure if it would suit a girl or not, it would depend on the first name. Logan Parker is just lovely.

My grandparents were Scottish and they had their mother's maiden names as middle names. I think it's nice. It used to be traditional in Scotland I believe but I think it's kind of gone out of fashion now (someone correct me if I'm wrong).

Not sure where you live, but actually Parker is more girly in America, however fits well for either gender. I think it's just one of those names like Jordan or Morgan - very gender neutral.

Parker is definitely a boys name in my parts (Canada). I have never heard of a girl named Parker.

OP, I gave my son my mums maiden name as a middle name - Stewart. This LO's middle name will be Sam. My great grandfather & great uncle were named Samuel, but my initials are SAM.

I love it and yours is fab too, Parker sounds really regal.

I think it's a really lovely name for a boy or a girl. I love family related names! My baby is Oscar Martin Lee, Martin is my Dad's name and Lee is my MIL's maiden name and hubby's middle name.

Just giving my opinion. I live in the UK and have never heard of Parker for either girl or boy but just felt it didn't suit a girl.
