Giving your lo water.

How much water do you give your baby?
How often?
When do you know its time to give it?
My daughter is 5 and ahalf months and was fully bf till 2 weeks ago now she is mainly ff and i have no clue as she crys like shes starving and only drinks one ounce so i asume she is thirsty but i cant tell the differents between her thirsty cry and hungry time.. im confused dont know how much to give her!

When I started my baby on water, I started with 2 ounces, then moved up to 4. He was around your baby's age at the time. Sometimes I add a splash of juice to the water and sometimes I don't.

Until she starts solids she shouldnt need any extra water as a rule but in this hot weather I can see why she would get thirsty! I would probably give no more than 1-2oz 2-3 times a day. x

ok thank uu she seems alot thirstier on formula when we first started her out on formula she had 5 ounces of formula and 3 hours later she drank 9 ounces of ebm!
