Mine one hour screening is right now! I'm waiting in the waiting room for them to bring me the drink. Wish me luck! It's currently 3 PM here and I had a toast with almond butter and salad at 12:30 and no snacks or food since then. I plan on having an afternoon snack after the test. I am 26 weeks today.

Sil all the v vvvvvv best hun!!! What u had is perfect whole wheat toast with almond butter a good combination of carbs and protein and yes after your drink do go for good food !! Wishing u all the luck lemme know how it goes !!

Mine is May 5th at 3 pm. I'll be 26 weeks. They already gave me my drink and it is orange. Friends have said to keep it refrigerated and that it takes like pop that has too much syrup in it. I have to drink it in 5 minutes

I just drank the Orange drink and have 45 minutes to go until my blood draw. I had to drink it in 5 minutes too. It tasted fine in the beginning but the last 1-2 ounces were a real struggle for me and I felt sort of nauseous. I'm feeling less sick now thankfully I think it's passing. Baby is wiggling like crazy in my belly from all of the sugar, haha. It will take a few days to get the results so fingers crossed!

I see my doctor this Friday and I know that is when they will tell me to go do the glucose test soon. I am almost 25 weeks.

I too am wondering what I should eat the night before/day of...

I had mine on Monday, drink didnt taste half as bad as remember it tasting last time which was a bonus! I had GD last Time and thinking it may be back I find out the results tomorrow fingers crossed I'm complelty wrong though xx

Just out of curiosity, what makes you think you have it again? Also, is your ticker right when it says you are 16 weeks? I just thought you get tested around the beginning of 3rd tri... But I am clueless. Just wondering...

Yes I'd like to know if there's a reason for you suspecting you have it? Only reason is because my ob tried to get me to do the test at 10 weeks but I declined but I'm wondering if you have any symptoms?


Abbey- it can be tested for at any time in the pregnancy, it's not typically diagnosed until 16 weeks + though but if there's history or reason to believe someone might have it, they can test anytime.

@Sil I felt dizzy when I had mine done at 16 weeks, which I passed with flying colors mine came as 108 where the cut off was 140, the reason I was told to go thru it cuz my endo felt I can get gd easily as I had mild pcod once so just to be sure everything is fine usually this is done in the initial week as well, but now that baby is big will definitely have my little one going all crazy once I take that sugary drink as at that time I was too early to feel the movement, so hoping my next time turns out great as well and so for u!! Let us know when u expecting the result so I can put in the initial description above

@Ahughes yup the sugary drink we have to gulp it down within 5 mins and u may feel dizzy afterwards it's good to take a walk so I did the same I drank and then I walked to the doc's office so it was good 10 mins walk, I also got mine and have refrigerated it!!


@ Abbey lets us know when is the date finalized for you hun so I can put in the initial description above and the good thing to have before glucose tolerance is less crabs and more protein like I had whole wheat toast and egg also as Sil mentioned toast with almond butter or peanut butter is a good choice too

@highhopes welcome hun! Fx tightly crossed for you although they say you may get gd again if you've got previously but If you eat healthy and remain active I think it can be easily taken care of and hoping the same in your case too hun fx again so you had your glucose tolerance in 17weeks 4d? And the next again you'll have after 24 weeks right?

Hi Ladies... I have my Test on Monday (27th) Ill be 16weeks and 5days...

I developed GD very late on in my 1st pregnancy, and of course every pregnancy since then, I've had to re-take the test at 16weeks and again at 24/26weeks.

Fingers crossed i pass again with flying colours

Babee which week in your last pregnancy you developed gd? So since this test happens between 24-28 weeks what if someone develops it later than that how do we get to knw I mean we're there any signs u came across last time ??

Mine is the 28th I will be 24 weeks, it's at 9am and I'm not allowed to eat or drink from midnight

Ughhh, I failed my one hour test.

My results came back today at 142 and they look for 135 or below.

I have to go for the 3 hour test Monday at 8 AM. No eating or drinking for 12 hours before the test. I really don't want to go back for the 3 hour test. I feel like having a cry.

Hi girlies got my results today so happy I could cry

Looks like this time round I'm GD free .
I couldn't believe it I was so expecting to have it again
They retest at 28weeks but so far so good, I'm still going to live by the diabetic diet plan from last time for an even better chance of it not returning at all

I'm determined for my VBAC so that's keeping me going xx
