So I got my bfp today... I'm freaking out. I've had m/c's before and there is no way that I want to go through that again?!
Any tips you lovely ladies could give me? Just advice on how to, I don't know, stop m/c from happening?
I know if it's not meant to last there is nothing you can do but I just want to make sure I do the most I can to prevent it.
This baby wasn't planned, I'm a smoker (I have about two left and after that, I'm not having any more) and I'm guessing I'm about 4 weeks? LMP was the 13th of December and I spotted the morning of the 26th. On the 5th I had an intense, left-sided stabbing pain that lasted for about a minute, which I never got with the previous pregnancies.
So many emotions right now!!!!!

<3 welcome to the board! :)

i had that kind of a stabbing pain when my LO implanted and the date sounds about right, especially if you got your BFP today. it takes about 5-6 days post implantation for a HPT to detect a pregnancy.

when i felt my implantation pains, that pregnancy ended in mc too but it had nothing to do with the implantation pain itself actually. i remember my doc telling me the baby had implanted perfectly :/ but still he didn't make it nevertheless :(

in any case i wouldn't take that pain as any indicator towards the positive or negative outcome.

unfortunately there is very little that can be done to prevent losses so early on, but definitely getting yourself booked for an early scan and blood work can help you get checked in time to see if your progesterone and HCG levels are ok and if HCG is doubling at a good rate.

quitting smoking is definitely a good idea though, for the rest of your pregnancy, for your LO's sake also when they're born, and for your own sake too!

wishing you healthy and happy 9 months!

I've been kind of crampy this morning. It's making me worried :S I'm just praying so hard this one survives :'(
I told OH last night, this morning he told me he isn't happy and doesn't want this to happen :( Even though 2 days ago he was constantly going on about it. I was moving house and he wouldn't let me lift anything... I know it's scary and stuff, it just really hurt. I'm snippy and moody, that's just made him crankier. He hung up on me and is now ignoring my calls. Telling me I've put to much stress on him, by telling my mum first and that he thinks he is the only one is who responsible (in the financial aspect). Saying I can't get a job and just :'(
I wish there was a way I could have a guarantee, like 100% in 9 months I will have a happy, little baby in my arms :/
