Long story short:
Got pregnant at 18 despite a ton of bc (pill, condom, spermicide, and diaphragm every single time). m/c'd.
I've been infertile since I was 19, hit by a car, bad times.
Been ttc as much as we can for a year. I saw "as much as we can" because we couldn't start IVF right away.
Since November:
First cycle had four faint positives early on (the retrieval was on my 28th birthday!!, and one day after his 26th birthday), then the beta came back negative. Doctor said chemical pregnancy, and that's a nicer way to say miscarriage. So it's considered to be a loss of two more. Got this news three days before Christmas. Sad times.
Second cycle nothing. Not even close. Somehow I knew early on nothing would come of it.
So two frozen embies from cycle #1 and seven more from cycle #2. Decided on a frozen transfer.
Natural cycle FET, low-dose hCG trigger on the 9th, transfer of two on the 16th. The first two thawed made it!
On the 21st I started getting positive tests, that soon after. A total of nine positives, no negatives. Pictures and stuff are here.
The beta is tomorrow. I'm not declaring anything to be official until the doctor says so. But I'm going crazy with waiting. It'll be another 24 hours before I know.

Aria,

Honey, I can imagine! It's even harder a after really rocky road! Keeping my fingers crossed for you!!! I hope this is your sticky baby and we will be celebrating in few days.

Thanks, Ladies! I'm up to 13 positive home tests, but still won't declare anything until I hear back this afternoon from the doctor. My blood's been drawn, now my tummy's in knots waiting.

If it's positive, Daddy-to-be won't find out until tomorrow. I'm planning to go to his work right before his lunch break with a bunch of balloons "hidden" behind my back (of course he'll see). His co-workers have all been so incredibly supporting and willing to do whatever they can to ensure he can be at the appointments. Out of the 40 or so we've had since November, he's only not been able to make THREE. Even the doctor's amazed at how many he's been at! So I think his wonderful co-workers deserve to share in the good news. He's off today, so it has to be tomorrow. How on earth could I keep it a secret if I find out good news today?

Ah, post to my blog, then here, then call everyone else I know. :D

Also, I should point something out.

If this doesn't work, then either I'll have to have surgery to block my tubes off lower than they already are, or we'll have to began planning for surrogacy. Someone my age shouldn't need three sets of embryos, so if we have to use a fourth, we'll need to take come drastic steps first.

Will be keeping a close eye and hope time flies by to you gettin news..........

Good luck huni

xxxx:hugs:

Hi, Miel! A local! I'm in Redwood City, btw, so very close!! Do you know of any pregnancy or moms groups? I desperately want to meet others in this area who are into the pregnancy/mom thing instead of partying every night, as the very few people I know here do. I need new friends.

It's now 3:33 Cali time. I...FINALLY got the call. Update is here.
:happydance:

Congratulations sweetie!!!!

i don't know anything near redwood city i am afraid ...but next time we have a bay area meet we should meet!!!:)

Good Luck Aria.

It sounds like everything is heading in the right direction. Let us know what your beta is!!!
