So tomorrow I'm going out and I'm just worried how I'll make my baby's bottles. I have a flask but if I just use the water from the flask the bottle will be boiling hot so is it okay for my to boil the kettle before we go out and put 1oz of water then when I'm out I add the other oz and the powder so then the bottle will be warm, right?

no, the formula needs to be mixed with boiling water and then add the cold (pre boiled) water. Or if LO has a feeding pattern then making it with all boiling water would be better.

We use cartons if we're out and not near a kettle! It is expensive & wasteful when babies only have a couple if ounces but far easier & less stressful.

My health visitor did tell us it was ok to use cool boiled water then mix in formula when a bottles needed but from my own research I understand powder is better mixed with boiled water as it sterilises it.

We use cartons too :)
