Going to be a single mum (from UK) help

Hi mummies, me and my OH have been together for 4 years and we have a 13 month old daughter. Everything was fine up till lately and weve just been arguing loads.. We are going to seperate as we feel it is the best thing to do.. He is also going to be working abroad during the week in sweden for his uncle and will only be in UK on weekends so we feel now is the time to call it a day..
We live in a private rented 2 bedroom maisonette and im worried what will happen now as all the bills and rent will come onto me! He wont be taking any bills with him apart from his car insurance etc and phone bill. My outgoings will add up to almost £1,000 a month and thats before food and clothing and travel etc. Im just so worried how i will get by.. Just wondering if you mummies know anything about situations like this or could give me any advice! Will they help me stay in the property or move me to a council property.. I just dont know

Sorry hun. Not sure but you will probably get housing benefit to help you and also child tax credits. Do you already claim these? Also your ex needs to pay for his child so you could use the csa or come to an agreement between yourselves. That should help pay towards your bills. Big hugs. Xx

Yeah we already have a joint claim in both housing and child tax so looks like im gonna have to tell them weve split up and that i need a single claim.. And yes he will be paying some money to us i would hope so fingers crossed it all turns out ok for me and my girl x
