going to the gynecologist with OH?

I was at the doctor's last week and she told me I could have PCOS, so now I have booked the best gynecologist here to examine and to do the proper tests.

We have been discussing trying for a baby with my other half, and somehow tables have turned and he is even more keen than I am trying for baby. In fact he even wants to come to the gynecologist with me next week. I told him that he would probably examine me and it's a bit weird if he's there but he's insisting on hearing what the doctor has to say.

Initially we had planned to wait a year to get the wedding out of the way, but if I have PCOS then maybe it would change the situation. And that's his reasoning for wanting to be there, as well as being there to support me.

Have you even been to the gyne with your other half? I'd like to hear any experiences and opinions on this matter as I don't really know what to think of the whole idea of him coming with me. Would the doctor find it weird too?

I have had my dh in the room during an exam with my RE. DH just sits by my head. I find it comforting to have him there.

Mine is insisting on coming to my obgyn (high risk pregnancy specialist)appointment, I know it'll be weird but I'm happy he wants to be there. I feel like he'll know more of what's going on, he'll be able to ask his own questions and I won't have to try to explain things to him the Dr. will!

Think of the positives, how many women out there wish their oh was more involved. We're lucky to have such wonderful men in our lives!
