5am- 80 ml bottle... (after a very very tiring and screaming night)
11.30am- breast for 18 mins followed by 50ml expressed cos she wouldnt settle
2.45pm- I changed her to wake her... breast for just 10 mins and then 80ml bottle
4.30pm- I expressed 50ml
6.30pm- I expressed 50ml
7.00pm- 80ml bottle after changing her to wake her
11.30pm- I expressed 35ml
1.50am- Breast 20 mins and 60 ml expressed
3.30am- Breast 15mins
4.40am- Breast 30mins
7.00am- Bottle 60ml (Oh did it) we swapped shifts lol ... he said she was really unsettled like she was between 1.50am and 5am with me!!
8.30am- Breast 30mins
9.15am- 40ml expressed
Its nearly 10am and shes still not entirely settled surely shes tired!!

Im really ready to give up.....

i know once you get the hang of bf-ing its the way forward but formula at the moment seems so easy!! I know how much shes getting etc etc!!

Please help me keep motivated :(

sorry to hear you had a rough night Kerry, it will get better, whatever you decide to do. I think the trick is to make a decision and stick to it.

Gosh its like reading about myself a few weeks ago! They make BF sound so easy at antenatal dont they!

i had lots of long nights the first week . try an hang in there hun x

The first couple of weeks Sam was on me almost constantly! I hardly had time to do anything - used to give him to OH for a few mins just so I could jump in the shower before he needed fed again. Their stomachs are tiny when they're first born, but they increase in size quite quickly, so they'll drink more and last a bit longer between feeds. I know exactly how you feel but I'm so glad now that I kept going - we're going to a wedding 4 hours away tomorrow and staying away tonight and with the huge amount of stuff I'm taking anyway I'm so glad I don't need to worry about bottles too! It is totally worth it if you do want to carry on. Is there any way you can stop the expressing for now, as that must take up so much more of your time!

It really does get easier, don't worry. Now I look forward to his feeds because it's the only chance I get to sit down, get on here and watch a bit of tv! x x x

Hang in there mama... just look through getting through one feed at a time. Things become overwhelming when you look at all of them for a day or days.

Are you consuming caffiene? I know when I cut out dairy and caffiene things got a lot better for the crying fits.

also I cannot recommen this enough:

www.thehappiestbaby.com

I know several women on here followed this advice and had great results.

I wasn't able to find any real useable info on that site... All it seems to be is a plug for this guys book...
