My toddler was messing around while I was trying to take him to bed and threw his head back hard, hitting me in the pelvis just where my C-Section scar is. The blow was not extremely hard but my bones hurt. How well protected is the baby at 21 weeks? He is head down so I am a bit more worried. He has been moving wildly for the past 5 minutes. Maybe what happened upset him.
Really upset this happened. :(

I'd be just as worried as you are if this had happened to me. But from the outside looking in, I can honestly say baby is very well protected. I'd say only worry if baby's movements decrease or you get some odd pains going on.
Big hugs x

Thank you! He is still moving as usual. Lots of small subtle movements and shifting and I get kicked almost every hour if at home.
The pain seems to be subsiding luckily.

I believe they're very well cushioned in there and the fact that his moving about is good. If your are really worried then there's no harm in giving midwife a ring just to double check X

I will call in the morning and see what they say about the protection. I think the pelvis might off better protection than the stomach higher up.

I was punched in the stomach by a teenager and I was close to being in third trimester. I didn't have any complications and my son turned out fine.

That is reassuring. My doctor also said nothing should be wrong but to watch movement.
