Having been so down lately I went to my GP today mainly about the severe constipation i've been suffering since starting my diet.

I took my calendar of cycles with me and we reviewed them, she reviewed my recent cycle (albeit lack of af) and decided that we'd left it be long enough (12 months off pill - i'm 28) and started to draft my letter to the infertility department at my wonderful new local hospital, which has recently rebuilt and has a new infertility unit (nearest used to be newark)

anyhow i am now OFFICIALLY on referral - she told me the next stage would be to determine if i was ovulating and probably start a course of clomid.

i googled, 'infertility appointment waiting time mansfield uk' (literally) and the nhs website came up stating there is only 28 wait to see a consultant :happydance:

The relief i'm feeling is somewhat uplifting compared to the rest of my week (see journal if you want a total run down)

any advice from you wonderful ladies would be much appreciated!
tonight i'm enjoying a well earned :drunk: and hoping the EWCM i'm getting on CD46 is my ovulation (better late than never)

:dust: for everyone!

WOW, 28 days wait to see a consultant?! That's great you've got things moving so quickly. I called up the GP coz 4 weeks after the referral went off to the ACU I still hadn't received a letter about my first appt. She chased it up and called me back to let me know the waiting list is 5-6 months:hissy:just for the initial consultation!!!
:dust:to you and keep us updated!!!

That's fantatastic news hun!

I must admit, i was given a 12 week wait to see the FS but then i hassled for a cancellation and was seen within 4 weeks.

Hope they crack on, get you see, get you sorted and get you pregnant!!! (not necessarily in that order :happydance:

Great news Littlestar, that's brilliant!

from what i gather when i receive my referral letter i can book the appointment online - i can only do this kind of appointment on a friday for work reasons (i work from home on a friday) so i guess it will be a case of how soon a friday appointment is available.

Fingers-X'd

Thats great news! Lots of luck and fingers crossed you get that appointment soon.

Got my appointment letter through today for the 4th March! i only had my GP visit last week!

So quick - one issue though, it appears that they only do the clinics on wednesday and thursdays so i will have to blag time off work (currently have an appointment on that day at the mo for miles away) so i think i will need to do some sweet talking and white lying (don't want employers to know what it's for - so if they ask it's for an IBS investigation) so fingers crossed i can get the time off.

Wish me luck!

Good luck getting time off!

I think in the circumstances a few white lies are in order (or even big black ones if that is what it takes to get you to the clinic!)

Absolutely re the white (or black) lies. Or just don't tell them what it's for, Most people are too polite to ask if you don't divulge.

Good luck!

got the time off! :happydance:
just need :witch: to stay away now so i can get a clomid prescription!

Fantastic news hun. Good luck for 4th March
