We had our20 week scan and were having a little boy, perfect addition to our little famiLy.

We have to go back again though because they couldn't see 4 chambers in the heart. I, not overly worried but did anyone else have this

I had something similar, but they couldn't check the heart at all as baby was in a difficult position to check so they told me to come back at 23 weeks when heart is most visible and all was fine. Don't worry, sometimes our little ones make it difficult for the sonographer to see.

Yes it's at 23 weeks that I have to go back. She could see the heart beating but just not that it had 4 chambers. I'm not really worried, I'm sure it's fine. If it's not then there's nothing they can do about it at the moment anyway.

Perfectly normal, I had it with my DS, thankfully they could see it with our little girl, but having to go back for another scan is normal if they can't get everything they need. More than often these days.

Can I ask, did the sonographer change the setting to be able to see the heart and the 4 chambers? I know she was having problems with seeing the heart until she changed the setting this time around.

Baby lay with it's back to us the whole time so she had no chance

Ahh, well, don't worry, it just gives baby time to move around before they re-scan :)

This happened to me when they were looking for my LO's second kidney. They couldn't see it at all! The sonographer eventually found it at that same appointment, but they were planning on asking us to come back. Sometimes the baby ends up in a bad position. I'm glad you're staying calm and in good spirits about everything!

Congrats on team blue, btw. c:

I had something similar happen when I went for my 20 week scan with my daughter. They said they needed to get a second opinion on her heart which made me really upset!

Turns out all was & is fine, I think they must just have difficulty trying to get a good look at the heart, hope everything goes ok xx

Yup they did for us, we went back at 21 weeks and baby was still in a difficult position so they used a different probe and a different setting and they were just able to get the views they needed, all was perfect
