As the title says would you put gripe water in lactose free milk. Ollie is 8 weeks old.

Also im thinking of reintroducing normal milk how would you do this ?

I was going to do one bottle every few days with colief or would you do the scoop thing ie if a 5oz bottle - four scoops lf and one norm.

Thanks x

I have put gripe water in lactose free milk, although it doesn't really work for us. I'm not sure how I'd reintroduce it, but probably a bottle at a time rather than mixing formulas. Am interested in why you want to reintroduce normal formula? I want to do this as I don't think my LO is lactose intolerant, just refluxy and windy, but my gp wants us to stick with it...

Just like you i dont think he is lactose intolerant, we put him on it due to severe colic and reflux it has cured the colic, however he never seems "full" so it was an idea thats all, he has had 'top ups' of normal mixed with lf and tbh he has become gripey again. All this does my head on.

Lf has made him very constipated i want to put him back on comfort aptimil but dont really want to chsge again !!

I know what you mean. I want to change formulas, but my GP is reluctant and he would know as LOs milk is on prescription. Hope you find a solution soon x x

We put gripe water into LO's bottles and she's on SMA LF. It does make her really constipated too but we've been giving her dilute prune juice which seems to help. I'm too scared to put her back onto the normal formula!
