Group B Strep

Who's had or had group b strep?

Did everything turn out ok?

Is their links to still birth, autism, learning difficulties like I'm reading

if you have it then its very easy to treat at birth, are you concerned you have it?

If you are positive it just requies antibiotics during delivery and birth. It is when it goes untreated it may cause issues.

I do have it and the leaflet that they gave me scared the crap out of me, still births, celebral palsy, autism etc

Oh, I don't understand why they do that! I think just remember its important to get the antibiotics and your lo will be okay.

I've never heard of any ill effects from the Strep, as PP said it's treated very easily at birth but have a chat to your midwife if you're concerned xx
