Hello All

I am trying to work out whether to switch my LO to cows milk or just put him on growing up milk when he turns one in a few weeks.

He is currently on Aptamil Follow on (3 bottles a day) and he also has 3 meals a day (baby led weaned so not always eating a great deal still).

I am just concerned if I switch him to cows milk that he won't be getting all the nutrients he needs from his food (as he is sometimes quite picky), so wondered if he would be better on growing up milk???

Be grateful to hear both sides of the argument and if you have already gone past this milestone what you did and how it worked out for you.

Thanks x:thumbup:

I just did cows milk and gave him a vitamin supplement. There are loads on the market and they often work out cheaper than growing up formula. That is an option too if you are not sure about just going to cows milk. X

We use growing up milk. I like to know he is getting the extra vitamins and I find it cheaper than cows milk. He has cows milk on his cereal.

I personally would put him on the next milk to make sure h gets all the nutrients he need if he isn't eatin too well.

If your wanting to keep him on formula id stick with the milk your using, you dont need to change to growing up milk and it tastes so sweet, its like a vanilla milkshake from macdonalds. My DD dident like the taste of it so we switched to cows milk but she eats a lot.
