Growth Scans - anyone had one at 36/37 weeks approx?

I came to know that at 37.5 weeks normal fetal measurements are BDP 91 mm , HC 336 mm , FL 71 mm , AC 336 mm. Where as my baby measurements are BDP 88 mm , HC 324.3 mm , FL 70.8 mm , AC 335.5 mm. According to previous scans my EDD was 20th Oct. After this scan edd was extended to 29th oct. Does it mean reduced in baby growth. I googled it and came to know that BDP and HC are head measurements, does it mean baby head is small or any abnormalities in brain development? Should I worry.

I had a scan at 36 weeks and my baby had a growth spurt and was slightly higher than the Middle line on the chart and was approaching 7 pounds. So I'd say 6 pound 2 is probably an okay weight! Babies growth does slow down though at this point. So as long as you still eat well until the end, I'm sure baby will get everything they need!

I mean I was 5 pound 11 when I was born and turned out fine! I was a week early. Babies these days seem to be 7-9 pounds on average though. So id say anything in that range is perfectly fine :) just make sure you don't skip any meals and stay healthy basically :) xxx

At this stage, babies are all such different sizes so there is no one 'normal' measurement. There is a wide range of normal. Your baby is only measuring 9 days behind 'average' and i wouldnt worry AT ALL!

I had a scan at 36+3 then one at 38+3.

36+3. HC 339, AC 331, FL 69mm

38+3. HC 347, AC 337, FL 71mm

She was measuring a week or two ahead at 36wks but at 38wks was measuring basically spot on for everything.

Dont worry, your baby is perfext!

Growth scan? I've never had one. How can I get one! Lol x

Mine were scans to keep an eye on fluid levels but they recorded babys measurements too :) id never had anything like that with my first 2 pregnancies,l

The estimated fetal weight can be off by 2 pounds either way so I don't put any trust in that. My OB won't give estimates.

I had my boy measured at 36/37 weeks and he was estimated to be 5.5 to 6 pounds by the OB on call. I don't know his measurements, but he was almost 4 weeks behind and in the 20th percentile. They told me he is small but still in the normal range. Just the small end of normal.

Had a scan last Friday at 36+4 and they estimated 6lb 11oz. X

Check this page out. Lots of calculators and information on averages.

It looks to me that your baby is measuring perfectly fine! According to that particular website the weight I'd pretty much spot on average for 36 weeks.

I have no idea why some health care professionals think the 6lb weight range is small for 36 weeks. I see a lot of that on here! If you have about 4 weeks left to go that would give most people a baby around 8lbs. My daughter was 7lbs 15oz at birth and considered large...so makes no sense to me.

My son was 7lbs 4oz at 40+6 and was probably about 5lbs something at 36 weeks.

I was 6lbs at 40 weeks and was a small baby but still fine.

I wouldn't worry about it. Scans and edd's can be off be two weeks in each direction. Your baby sounds right on for a healthy size in the end.
