I was so tired last night (still am) I told my OH he can do all the night feeds. He's never done this. So when she cried I woke him. I still couldn't sleep properly as I was worrying he wouldn't do it properly. He was so snappy when I told him stuff during the night and is a right grump today! Bless him

I don't think I'll ask him to do it again as I couldn't relax and was awake at the same time anyway. Completely knackered!

Hopefully he sees it's not easy now. He has it easy at work and with his lay ins

Xx

Personally, I'd leave him to do some more of the night feeds.

Even if you have to be awake and worried for now, he'll soon get the hang of it, and then you can actually get some decent sleep.

He can't learn to do it properly unless you let him, and you can't do absolutely everything yourself. :flower:

id leave him too it so he knows what you have to contend with also he needs to get used to it as if your ill or something hes gunna need to take over

My OH is exactly the same. He helps out a lot when he's not working but ask him to do a night shift and his face drops lol. He's done a few but he is sooooooo grumpy when he wakes up and he stresses at me when I cant sleep because if he has to be awake I should be asleep :haha: We've worked out that it's a lot easier and less stressful for us both if I do the night shifts and when he's not working he gets up with LO so I can have a bit of a lie in :)

He was probably annoyed with being told what to do, I know it's hard but you need to just let him get on with it. I had to learn that just because OH did things differently, doesn't mean he wasn't doing them right. It's only been in the last couple of weeks that i've been able to carry on sleeping when OH deals with our baby in the night but he did say to me once that he felt useless when I kept telling him how to do things.

Hope it goes better next time! :-)
