How can I stop her??? I can hear it going in to her belly!! :hissy:

I've repositioned her - she's latched perfectly but she's rushing and then we have crying like she's got colic, between tea time and bed time :(

Help?!

Deacon is the same when he first latches on, I was talking to Breastfeeding support grp (They do home visits in our area) she said that gulping is normal to cope with the flow of milk that is coming out.

Is it just Air when she is gulping? I was just wondering because when I am, feeding him he does the same but I Know that its milk. Otherwise he comes of my boob.

Hope this helps.

Poppy does the same. And the worst thing is, you can actually hear her swallowing it down and gurgling around in her belly, can't you? And you are thinking "Uh-oh. She's gonna be windy later!" I haven't found a way to reduce it yet but I think it may improve once they learn to cope with and regulate the flow maybe? x

She will get better at it. Try unlatching her every little bit and burping/winding her, and that might help keep it from building up too much. Remember there is a learning curve for the both of you, and the longer you feed the better it gets!
