I am so upset, my son has picked up chicken pox from nursery 2 days ago. We are supposed to be going to center parcs on monday as our last family holiday as a 3 before baby comes, just wanted to chilll out and use the pool etc, anyway, they have said if he has any scabs at all left on any part of his body he will not be able to use any of the facilities! Can't believe it, especially knowing that he shouldn't be contageous once the blisters have turned to scabs, guess they don't want people scared off from our spotty boy! Absolutely gutted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh no that's such a shame :(

Have they let you reschedule? I know it's not what you had planned but maybe you could go with after LO has arrived?

awww what a shame

id love a family holiday too but if I was told I had to cancel id be gutted

isnt there that special cream which helps scabs heal a lot quicker? it helps them dry up faster and come away quicker and reduces scarring...ask your pharmacist, it'd be such a shame to not go :(

I took my eldest to spain when he was 18mths and had chickenpox the doctor refused to let me go but I wasnt cancelling

However with some clever makeup and swim shirts noone noticed!!!!

The spots came out and and dried so at the airport I stuck some concealer on them covered him with a hat - the spanish pilot seen him and said "awwwwww" and told me to sit down :)

On holiday when it was time to go to the pool i put on one of those boy swimsuits - that protects them from being burned - again noone noticed

Dont cancel just be devious about it - :)
