Am very excited - had my 20 weeks scan at 8.30am this morning and it's a girl! My 9 year old son is also over the moon. It's been an emotional roller coaster to get even this far and I really wanted a girl. Feel like I'm the luckiest person in the world. Managed to just about persuade my partner to come to scan - unfortnately he did not want me to keep the baby but has come round a little bit each day. He didnt say a word before, during or after the scan but I have to stay positive for me, my son and my baby girl that things will improve and hopefully he will embrace this new life. He is telling his children (18 and 17 years old) that it's a girl today. His 17 year old son seems to be coming round to the idea but his daughter does not seem v happy - hopefully he will reassure them both of his love for them and that our new addition to the family won't change that. It hasn't been easy and I've discovered that one: I'm a lot stronger than I thought, and two: I have a fabulous loving family and group of friends who've kept me going throughout the tough times. Wishing all you lovely mums to be courage, happiness and a beautiful bundle of joy at the end of your 9 months xxx Sparkly
