Until the MIL completely took over the dinner in MY Kitchen - dont think ive been so pissed off in such a long time - she critisized the way i prepared the veg, asked why i had part boiled the potatoes for roasties, asked why i had sausage wrapped in bacon and why i was going to make home made Gravy

My MIL tried and I said no to her and she sulked off OH then said I was a bit mean but i didn't care LOL I think its rude to try and take over someone elses dinner.

i got taken over by my mum but i was glad for it. was too much to do and she knows how to do it and i dont. but i would be infuriated if while i was doing it myself someone invades my kitchen and critisizes my cooking.

I part-boiled my potatoes before roasting them too! My new recipe book told me to. Apparently it makes them taste better, and they did. Pfft. She knows nothing.

We had Christmas alone as it's the first Christmas in our flat and our last Christmas 'together' you know? It was lovely.
