Normally theres threads about people looking down on us young girls or making rude comments so today i was pleasantly surprised when i went out for dinner and went to the loo there was an oldish woman who smiled and said i had a lovely bump :happydance:
It made a nice change that for once someone was making a positive comment especially an older lady as there usually the meanest

Awh that is nice :) I seem to be getting harsh comments at the moment!

aww im sorry u girls havnt had a nice comment :(
i was beginning to lose hope that there is nice people in this world but hope is not lost yet! :happydance:

Ive never had rude comments but then again I am 19 and always with FOB who is 20 and has mean stare. :P

 This makes me happy :) I love it when people are happy and nice and non-judging to us young 'uns.I have to say no one really judges me when I'm out and about but I think I look a bit older than I am but some of the things girls on here have had said to them really shocks me :nope: x

awwh thats really nice of her:D

i was out the other day and some lady weirdly stood infront of me n said your beautiful and so is your bump n tried touching me,she was actualy freaky tho! wernt all there lol i got scared n run lol :/ x

That's really sweet :) And you do!

Those are the people you have to pay attention too. And for every mean comment there are probably 5 other people thinking something nice, like what a nice bump, or that couple looks cute together or something like that. They just don't say something because they don't want to interrupt or intrude.

Aw, that's lovely!
I always get smiles and nods from priests and other members of the clergy. It freaked me out a bit at first, because I couldn't tell if they were taking pity on me or not, but then my mom explained it to me; They may be against sex before marriage, but they're against "a"s more. And how do they know I'm not married? :winkwink:

That's great!!

I've found that, for the most part, a lot of people don't know how to react to me. They don't know whether to tell me they're sorry or be excited for me. As my my pregnancy has progressed, though, I've gotten more and more congratulations and nice comments. At first, I had a lot of people say, "Oh, I'm so sorry!" I don't want anyone to be sorry for me!!! I've been excited since day one, and I want everyone else to be excited too!

My friend had her first when she was 19, and she told me she had similar problems. She and her husband were thrilled but other people said stuff like "Oh, so sorry to hear that" wtf! She learned to say something like "I'm pregnant and we are so excited" whenever she told someone. And in those cases people usually responded with a congratulations.

Hehe, awww this is a lovely thread :)
i have to admit, i haven't really had anyone be horrid recently - the last person was some silly woman who wroked in mothercare!! shame on her!

but mostly people are nice to me.. maybe we just take stares the wrong way sometimes? i dunno  some lady was staring at me on the bus a little while ago  and i said to my friend, "she keeps staring" she did say after "sorry, i don't mean to stare, i think it's lovely you're keeping your baby, i'm 3 months pregnant, and i was just thinking, i'll look like that soon" (she must have been about 30).. it made me blush hehe!!
xxxx

anyone else want to share there nice comments ?
seems we have a few :flower: i love reading stories of people being nice for a change

I love when there's a spare few nice older women who don't see it as a "sin" or something to be looked down upon and just treat it as any other pregnancy.
But I usually have the misfortune of being given dirty looks by even older PREGNANT women, and usually there's a woman who has to give me a dirty look right when I have a content look on my face or I happen to have a hand on my bump.
Why can't they just let us enjoy it like they would any older pregnant woman?
:haha:

You think they would understand how excited you are and how much you love bubs! Shame on them :(

Despite the difficulties that coming along with being young you are choosing to raise him- I don't see any "sin" in that!

Maybe it's just because they are jealous of you, yummy mummy you
