Had a scare today

I went to the doc a couple of days ago and confirmed a UTI. He put me on an antiobiotic that is safe to take during pregnancy. Today when I was teaching my class I started hurting in my lower back and then cramping in my stomach and had terrible pain all the way through my body and to my back where my kidneys are. It was so bad I thought I was going to pass out and I couldn't even stand..I got one of my students to get another teacher to come in. I cried the pain was so bad and my poor 2nd graders were just looking at me. The teacher knows I am pregnant and let me go to the bathroom to see if I was bleeding and I wasn't. I started praying that I wasn't having a miscarriage. After about almost 10 minutes the pain subsided. I was ready to drive myself to a hospital. I called the nurse line at my doctor's office and she talked to the doctor and he told me to drink plenty of fluids and go to the bathroom frequently...he said the bacteria can cause that. It really scared me.

Ive had a horriable UTI like that once at the time I didnt know it was one and went to the ER, sounds exactly like my pain. I think you'll be okay, just get some rest

That would be terribly scary! I hope the UTI clears up soon. Cranberry juice can help.
