Had HSG done today, left tube ok, right tube was blocked but dr unblocked it with dye

I had my HSG done today, I was so nervous I almost vomitted, I have been waiting for 6 yrs to have this done and finally the time was here. So it was not painful like i though it would be, my misscarriages were definitely a lot more painful!! Dr said my uterus looked good, the left tube was good, but then he said the right tube was clogged and blocked, he instantly said "im going to unblock it, i'm gunna get it!", which made me laugh a little, then he applied more pressure and released more dye into the tube, the tube UNCLOGGED, and there it was the right tube full of dye . I was so happy, i immediately started saying "thank god" and of course i thanked the dr over and over again. But i am wondering what is next?? DH had SA done on Monday and now we gotta wait for his results and of course my x-ray results from HSG by our FS, I am hoping there is no endomitriosis, but i am happy the tubes are unclogged now. Does anyone know what happens next??

Good luck to all the ladies, and for anyone having an HSG done, it is not as bad as you might think. I kept praying the whole time.

Thats brill news they unblocked it! i had mine yesterday and my tube (only have one) was fine, i now have to wait for my gyny appointment in 2 weeks to see what happens next i dont know what its like where u are as im in the UK. Glad everything went well!! xx

That's great news - congrats on it before over with and successful! After my HSG was clear & DH's SA was fine, my doctor prescribed clomid. I ovulate on my own, but she clomid would be step one. I'm now on the second cycle of it. If this cycle doesn't work, I will probably add IUI with the clomid next month.

congratulations!!! i would say get bedding lol!! i had a hycosy in sept 09 & was told about the high chance of conceiving after the procedure as it really helps flushing of the tubes!! i unfortunately didnt fall preg but i had other things going on like polycysts on my only ovary. i had symptoms of endometriosis but my fs wouldnt refer me for a lap & dye. i paid privately to see a laparoscopy specialist who agreed i needed the op done. luckily would be paid on nhs!! i had it done feb 3rd 2010 .....he said he would do hycosy again while there.......no endo was found but so glad i had the op as i got my bfp on 20th feb!!! im sure it was the flushing of the tube again!! good luck x

Wow dancingkaty that is awesome, congrats on the BFP. Yah my FS told me the chances are greater afer you have the hycosy done, Im supposed to be OV in like 2 days so we are defintely prepared, I am praying it happens for us this year. I have an appointment to go over the results with my FS on monday so only a couple more days and we find out what the next step is. Me and DH are so excited... I am hoping good news continues to come our way.
