Had my anatomy scan today!!!!

I am so excited! Mackenzie Rose will be here April 7th (most likely sooner) everything came back great... Except when the tech started the ultrasound DH and I noticed that our lo's tummy was a little larger than what we thought it should be. The tech didn't say much, but she assured us everything looked ok. Our princess in measuring right and estimated weight at 10 oz.

When my dr. came in he brought up LO's tummy and said that it does look a little big but all my test came back negative so he doesn't think it's a chromosomal defect. He has me scheduled to get another scan done by a specialist in a week or so just to be on the safe side. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little freaked and worried that something could be wrong. I am just praying she is ok and she just has a chubby tummy.
Other than that the scan was awesome. She was playing with her hands and we got to see her "drinking" her amniotic fluid. DH said she looked like a fish. Lol I will post pics later. They aren't the best pictures cause she decided to be a little diva. Lol

I'm 19 weeks and 3 days I think. Lol and I definitely HOPED it was a girl. So excited it is. Just worried now about her belly. Hopefully everything is alright.

We had a level 2 ultrasound today as they found choroid plexus cysts on babies brain at our scan last week. A "variant of normal" we were told but I was a mess until after the appt today was over. They found no other soft markers in either scan. Not the same as what you are dealing with... But it's the same worry. I was worried about today, but the scan went really well and I feel so much better now.

I'm sure all is fine with your baby. Just think of it as an extra look at her!

Thanks girls. I am going mad just looking up things (google can be the devil) but I have found that this is more common that I thought it was and all the stories I've read so far the babies seem to be born with no issues what so ever. So I will ust stay focused and positive and you're right Dais, I will just look at it as getting an extra glance at her.

Congrats on Team Pink! Just wanted to tell you... a friend of mine had the same finding of a larger belly and her son was born perfectly fine and normal - he's doing great with no issues whatsoever.

Agree.... Stay away from google. I drove myself crazy all last week. We went away for the weekend and stayed busy and it was so good for me!
