had my scan this morning, they seen the sac, is that ok for 6wks?

had my scan and they said my uterus funny shape so hard to see. they managed to see the yolk sac. i got to go back in 2 weeks when im 8 weeks for clearer picture. do u think il be ok?? they said its hard to see anything before 8 weeks

I had a scan at 6 wk 4 day due to bleeding - they put down sac and yolk seen. I had to go back 2 weeks later which was today! and they back dated me to 7 weeks 2 days and hearbeat seen!!.

I got a bit panicked looking on here and seeing so many ppl had seen a hb at 6 weeks - now it makes sense they didn't see it last time due to the dates being worked out from the LMP. The pic they showed me looked nothing like some of the brill pics on here - but they say its o.k so thats all that matters.

Really hope you are reassured next week.

I think that's pretty normal and in fact a very good sign for 6wks

thankyou and i hope so. really praying it sticks. ive had a son and 3 miscariages between 5/6 weeks. with the miscariages they didnt see anything in the scans not even sac and yolk. son good sign they have seen the start of the pregnancy?? they said my uterus lays funny. what do they mean?

They could mean that you have a tilted uterus which means it tilts backwards towards your spine or forwards towards your bladder. Apparently its very common. I dont think its anything to worry about apart from the fact that its harder to get a good picture on us.

Good luck. Its a very good sign that you saw a sac and yolk if you have not saw that much before.

Hi hun ive got a tilted uterus and this is my story.

I was diagnosed with an ectopic by the recurrent miscarriage clinic at 5w and 3 days. She spent over 15 mins trying to see summat but nothing, op was booked that evening however my HCG tests came back and they had doubled so they postponed the op and rescanned me in the morning and hey presto there was a sac and yolk sac. However he did need to raise my bum on a cushion quite high simply because of my uterus. I went back the following friday - 6 weeks3 days and there was baby with HB.

I went back on the Monday as was measured exactly at 6w 6d which was bang on again with HB however on the Friday I was 7+3 they backdated me to 6w 6 cus they couldnt measure babe properly, I was scanned twice with two differnt measurements on the 2nd scan babe was measuring 7+3. All because of a retroverted/tilted uterus.

Apparently its incredibly hard to see things both vaginally and abdominally when you are before 10 weeks and with that type of uterus. I would try and remain calm and look forward to your next scan when you will see babe with a good HB

Same thing happened to me last week. I have an appointment with my obstetrician in 2 days and I am hoping that he does an u/s and we finally see a little heart beat. Otherwise I have to wait another 2 weeks to go to EPU for another scan to find hb. I was very worried at first but lots of ladies have reassured me that this doesn't mean anything bad.

I have my first scan on Tuesday and I was expecting to go in and see a heartbeat i will be 7+1 then or a little bit earlier not quite sure. I also have a tilted uterus mine tilts in towards my back and is so common in lots of women.... for me everything was ok the only thing was during my last pregnancy i never got a bump for a long time since there was more room for the baby to grow before i started to show but apart from that it caused no issues.

I am sure that when you go back everything will be fine.... it sounds like they saw a good amount on the scan. Its nerve wracking I know, and its hard to sit and wait patiently.
