Half baby, half piglet!

Hello All,

My daughter is just over a month old now and seems to eat a HUGE amount for her age. She is on 6oz of Aptamil easy digest about every 4 hours. Last week she was on 5oz but was finishing her bottle and still sucking on the teat wanting more. Is this normal? Does anyone elses baby eat this much? I have been looking online and some 4 to 5 month old babies don't even eat this much

Violet was taking 6oz's at 5/6 wks old every 4hrs

At 11wks, she's only just starting to polish off 7oz every time so it did slow down, although it didn't seem like it would! We were upping her bottles every week at the start.

Jac was also on 5/6 oz at this age. He strated polishong off his 6 oz bottles last week so im making 7 oz now...it does slow down slowly.
I must say i still worry that i wont have bottles big enough....LOL

Im thinking the that weaning will have to strat at approx 4-5 month if the weight keeps on piling on like it has been LOL

Ethan is 6 weeks old and has been having 5/6oz feeds every 3 hours ish (sometimes every 2.5) for about 2 weeks now too. Don't worry too much xxx

OMG, i must have a freak baby. Emma can easily take nearly 8oz before she decides she is full! And she is only 12 lbs and 6 weeks. if I give her what it says to on the tub - 6oz she will just gurn till you give her more, then its lights out as she falls asleep right after. She is just not happy having anything less.

Ah so it not just my baby then

I feel alot better now knowing that she's not the only hungry baby, and it seems quite normal!

My babs is 6 weeks today and she polishes 5 oz bottle every 3-4 hours and she is on aptamil stage 2 so I guess its normal.
Growth spurt maybe.....

My little man is taking 4 to 5oz every 3 to 4 hours, he is on aptamil and I was wondering if he was on too much but it seems quite normal, he is a month old and putting on weight VERY well, take care XX

Okay. I was really starting to worry about my son!!! He's only 2 weeks old, and he drinks about 4oz every 3 hours. I thought that was so much, but he does weigh 9lbs7oz right now, so I guess it's okay. He's a bloody monster when he eats, I'm so scared that he's gonna be over eating

Hey ladies my little boy is only a week old and he's already guzzling 4/5 ozs every 3/4 hours!! I was worried too, but if he's hungry im not going to deny him of food, he's growing!! xxx

Yeah no need to worry. My HV said it's impossible to overfeed, the baby will just bring up the excess. So if it's staying down, I guess they need it! Babies are no different to adults...some are bigger eaters than others.
