Have we just been really unlucky or has anyone else had any problems with happyland toys? We've had the carousel wheel thing break on us, virtually as soon as we got it out the box lol. Then the dinosaur has broken, about three weeks after I bought it. For Christmas Violet got the boot with all the leprechauns and things and the handle keeps coming off. Poor Vi nearly dropped it on her foot once. I wouldn't mind so much if they were £15-£20 but this was £40!!!

I think I might write to them and in.future will be making a concerted effort to keep all my receipts for any big toys I buy :growlmad:

Oh no that's crap! We have the bus and the schoolhouse and both are fine. But they are quite simple and dont do anything fancy like the carousel!

We have almost every happyland item  but we have had no problems and I have three very destructive boy, well two and one normal :haha:

The only things that "break" are doors falling off, and then my eldest repeatedly pulls them off and makes them weak, but generally it's ski perfect, and it's been climbed on, thrown, and the beat each other with it. If you think my house sound like a mad house you would be right.

We've got loads of Happyland and nothing has ever broken.

we've got a fair few happy land toys and we've been quite lucky. nothing broke yet and alfie is really rough with them.

xx

we have quite a few happyland toys and weve never had any trouble and my sons very rough with them

I don't have happyland but I would take them back. I read somewhere that elc have a lifetime guarantee on their products.

All our happyland has been really sturdy and hasn't broken

I also bought my LO the boot for Xmas and the door has broken off. She's not destructive but just likes to open and close the door all the time because of the noise it plays and it broke. She can also pull the handle on the top off but I think that's down to the design and pops back on quite easily.

we have had no problems with Happyland either - and Charlie plays with the toys a lot! He's had the rocket and pirate ship for almost 2 years now and they're really sturdy.. only thing that's broken is the door off the post office. He was ramming cars into the garage earlier and its still intact - maybe you got unlucky with the batch? I would look into returning them.

We got the zoo and safari truck thing for Christmas and DS loves them. Seem pretty sturdy and no breakages as yet - despite being thrown about a fair bit!

ELC are pretty good with returns so I'd try that if I were you. It's their brand, I'm pretty sure.

I'd complain personally as I find they're pretty sturdy on the whole. Though windows/doors/similar might come off they can be put back on easily enough. DD has some and we have a lot at work too where the kids are very hard on the toys!

oh no how unlucky for you! we've got loads of happyland toys and never had a problem with any of them. I would definitely take them back, ELC are great with returns there's never any questions asked! x
