Our oven is a bit temperamental so wondering if the slow cooker might work? We eat all meats so wouldn't necessarily need to be turkey

Oh I'd also like to know this. I was reading about slow cooker hot chocolate and breakfasts etc. Xxx

Ive done sunday lunch in the slow cooker. Id miss roast potatoes and roast parsnips though! Oh and yorkshires 🙈

Agreed, we couldn't do without those either! We would still do some stuff in the oven, the problem is when the oven gets a bit over loaded things don't cook predictably

Sunday dinner yesterday I did the chicken in the Instant Pot to free up space for the roasties etc in the oven!

I always do my meat in the slow cooker and the veg/potatoes in the oven xx

Does anyone have any recipes?! It is it just a case of stick the meat in and leave it- e.g. Do you put liquid in?

My mum done the beef joint in one, one xmas. Came out lovely!
Think she used just a tad bit of water in the bottom, and Lots of herbs 👍🏼

I heard someone say you should put a few rolled balls of tin foil under the meat. I guess it helps cook the meat evenly or something?

I am thinking of doing mine in the slow cooker this year to leave room in the oven for veg and pots!
